The Boiler Upgrade Scheme provides generous government funding towards the cost of installing an Air Source Heat Pump.
Available Grants
£9,000 grant for eligible homes currently heated by oil or LPG*
£7,500 grant for all other eligible homes replacing qualifying heating systems*
The grant is applied directly to your installation cost. The scheme is installer-led, meaning we handle the entire application process on your behalf. This makes the process smooth, stress-free, and transparent from start to finish.

Grant Requirements
✔ You own the property
✔ You are replacing an existing fossil fuel system (oil, gas, LPG, or direct electric)
✔ The new heat pump must be MCS‑approved with a minimum COP of 2.8*
✔ Your property must have a valid EPC ✔ No outstanding loft or cavity wall insulation recommendations
✔ Installation must be completed by an MCS‑accredited installer
✔ Heat pump capacity must be ≤ 45kW (suitable for most homes)
✔ System must meet your full space heating and hot water needs
Ineligible Properties
✖ Homes that have previously received RHI or ECO funding
✖ Social housing
✖ New builds (except eligible self‑builds)

We submit your voucher application to Ofgem. They review the details and contact you to confirm your consent.
Once approved, your voucher is issued with a 3‑month validity period for Air Source Heat Pump installations.
After your heat pump is installed and commissioned, we submit the redemption application within the voucher’s validity period.
Ofgem pays the grant directly to us (£9,000 for eligible oil and LPG homes, or £7,500 for other eligible properties) and your brand-new renewable heating system is complete.
