The outdoor heat pump unit was installed at the rear of the property’s extension, while the new cylinder was fitted within the property’s airing cupboard.

Full Central Heating Upgrade

To ensure maximum heat pump efficiency, a full radiator upgrade was completed as part of the installation.

A total of 13 new radiators were installed throughout the property, including upgrades in the kitchen, study, living room, bedrooms, bathrooms, dining area and hallway.

Heat pumps operate most efficiently alongside correctly sized radiators, making this an important element of the overall system design. By upgrading the existing heat emitters, we were able to ensure the property would benefit from consistent comfort and efficient heating performance throughout the home.

Taking Advantage of the Boiler Upgrade Scheme

One of the key benefits of this project was the homeowner’s eligibility for support through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme.

This government-backed initiative helps homeowners transition from fossil fuel heating systems to low-carbon alternatives such as air source heat pumps.

By taking advantage of the Boiler Upgrade Scheme contribution, the customer was able to significantly reduce the upfront investment required for their new renewable heating system.

Homeowners that heat their home with gas are eligible for a £7,500 contribution, and those who heat their home with LPG or Oil get £9,000 via the Boiler Upgrade Scheme.
