ECO4 Funding

Over £30,000 worth

home improvements
for free!

ECO4 is the fourth phase of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme, a Government energy efficiency scheme in Great Britain that requires large energy suppliers to help reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty. Under this obligation large energy suppliers support the delivery of lifetime savings by installing energy efficiency measures in homes throughout the UK.

These measures include services like the installation of insulation, reducing the amount of heat that escapes your house and lessening the need to ramp up the radiators. Or the replacement of a gas boiler for an air source heat pump, which uses (you guessed it) air to heat your house and significantly lowers your energy bills.

You can find out more about the ECO4 scheme through the OFGEM website. They administers the scheme on behalf of the Department for Energy, Business & Industrial Strategy.

Measures are action that can be taken to make your home more energy efficient, the current measures we provide are;

Room in Roof
Insulation is fixed amongst the rafters (the angled beams that support the roof). and finished with plasterboard partitions.

Cavity Wall Insulation
Cavity walls can be insulated by injecting insulation material into the cavity from the outside by drilling holes in the outside walls, inject insulation through the holes and then seal them with cement.

Internal Wall Insulation
Internal wall insulation is done by fitting rigid insulation boards to the wall, or by building a stud wall filled in with insulation material such as mineral wool fibre.

Underfloor Insulation
Underfloor insulation can be installed in houses that have suspended floors or a cavity underneath. These areas can be insulated by laying insulation supported by netting between the floor joists.

Loft Insulation
Loft insulation is a barrier of material in your roof space that traps heat. The Insulation is laid between the joists.

Air Source Heat pumps
An air source heat pump, sometimes referred to as an air-to-water source heat pump, transfers heat from the outside air to water, which heats your rooms via radiators or underfloor heating. It can also heat water stored in a hot water cylinder for your hot taps, showers and baths.

Heat from the air is absorbed into a fluid. This fluid then passes through a heat exchanger into the heat pump, which raises the temperature and then transfers that heat to water.
