Our first ever event at the International Convention Centre Wales, The Future of Wales: Path to Net Zero, brought together industry leaders, housing providers, policymakers, and innovators for a powerful day of discussions on how Wales can accelerate its journey to Net Zero.
With speakers from Smart Energy Homes, Octopus Energy, Elmhurst Energy, Leeds Sustainability Institute and Warm Wales, all leading experts in low-carbon heating and energy innovation, the day focused on real solutions shaping the future of sustainable homes, communities, and decarbonisation across Wales.
Wales has a unique opportunity to lead the UK in sustainable living and energy innovation. This event highlighted:
How heat pumps, smart home technology and renewable energy systems can support large-scale decarbonisation
The role of housing associations, developers, and local authorities in driving change
Innovative initiatives like Zero Bills and Tenant Power, supporting both new build and retrofit projects
The importance of skills development, workforce training, and community engagement
How sustainable housing directly improves quality of life, not just energy performance
Together, we explored practical pathways to achieving Wales’ Net Zero ambitions.
